Easy for the Eyes

  • Use your eyelid primer not just to prime your eyelids for eye shadow, but also to block out inner eye corner darkness. Press to blend!
  • Night out? Add glam to your look with a bit gold, shimmery eye shadow under the arch of both eyebrows, and the corner of your eyes. Use a slightly wet to make the eye shadow last and not flake!
  • It's raining! One coat of waterproof mascara over your regular mascara will not break lashes and will stop your favorite mascara from running.
  • Having brow trouble? After filling in the spaces with powder or pencil, use a clean mascara brush/spool to brush through the makeup.
  • For thicker-looking lashes, hold mascara brush lengthways and slide 'side to side and out'. This technique is also quick and not messy!

Lips to Remember

  • Remember to use a sunscreen stick on lips before lipstick or lip gloss, especially when outdoors. Gloss attracts the sun which will dry-out and damage your lips!
  • How to get lip gloss to stay on: use two coats of light lipstick, make matte with paper towel in between coats, then add lip gloss.
  • When it’s raining, use a lip gloss that is a touch brighter than what you would normally put on!

Best Face Forward

  • Using a face primer definitely helps smooth out aging and sun damaged skin, and also helps to hold foundation on longer.
  • Blotting papers are great for removing shine without removing makeup. Try visiting your local Chinatown to pick up an authentic and inexpensive package of blotting paper.
  • Want to get a tanned look using bronzer? Start near the hairline at the middle of your ear and swipe across the top of your cheekbone, then re-blend like the shape of the #3 from your temple, over the top of your cheekbone again, then your jaw line. Then run the rush down the top of your nose and voila-TAN!
  • Have a a brown spot? Use a brush to apply concealer to the spot, but do not blend! Add foundation and then pat.
  • On a rainy day, try using a touch more blush than using, and apply starting from the hairline and blending forward to the front of cheek. Now smile!
