"So many of my clients ask for a Smokey Eye Look for weddings and evening makeup because they cannot seem to achieve the look without giving themselves a black eye!"

Follow Susan's instructions below for the perfect at home SMOKEY EYE:

STEP 1

Prepare the Eyelid with Pandora¹s Eyelid Primer, it starts off applying with a creamy texture and finishes with a dry finish. Used first to blend all over the eyelid from the lash line till the eyebrow this will help hold your shadow without creasing and cover any imperfections.

STEP 2

Apply a flat matte shadow of shadow all over the Eyelid Primer with a flat shadow brush, example Pandora¹s Oatmeal or Blossom Shadow.

STEP 3

Using a waterproof eye pencil draw a line on the lashes by resting the pencil at the root on the top from the outside corner of the eye till the inside corner, thicker to thin and then add to the inside of the bottom lashes by resting the pencil on the top of the bottom lashes so it does not smudge under the eye.

STEP 4

Using a smudge brush/small contoured brush, #3 of Pandora¹s, apply charcoal, dark brown or soft black at the outside bottom corner of the eyelid and blend inwards onto the lid 1/3 across and just above the crease coming across in a smooth semi circle motion never leaving the brush from the eyelid for smooth blending.

STEP 5

Add a touch of shimmer with gold or silver based shadow at the very inside corner of the eye to keep it open and camouflage the dark corner. Use a > or a < shaped stroke to create this highlight, and if you have small eyes also use shimmer under the arch of the brow.

STEP 6

With a thin liner brush and wetting it with water take the charcoal or black shadow and now use wet to trace a line close to the lashes on the top and bottom of the eye and smudge a little to create either a rounder look to your eye or more cat like look depending on the smoky style that is the most flattering and brings out the color of your eyes.

STEP 7

Curl your lashes and coat with mascara, add lashes to the corner or adhere a small shaped section to the lashes is optional.
